Mannan Turganbaev
Mannan Turganbaev’s family lived in the city of Semipalatinsk during the Great Jute. When Mannan was in prison, his wife and daughter Esen died of hunger, leaving his mother Katysh and son Murat. They took shelter in the house of Abdilman’s relative. After his release, acquaintances and comrades from the education department invite him to work, seeing the difficult situation of Mannan’s family, help him with work and solve financial problems. Mannan Turganbaev had three children.
Turganbaev Murat Mannanuly was born on the 23rd of July in 1924 in Semey city. Since 1932 lived in Altai region in Murat settlement which belonged to Ust-Kamenogorsk uyezd. The father worked in the village as a teacher, and Murat was given to the Russian school in the village Cherno-Anui, where he lived in the house of a friend of the father’s teacher. In July 1936 the Turganbayev family moved to Krasny aul, Belagach district, Semipalatinsk region. On 24 January 1937 Mannan was arrested, his wife and children went to their relatives, and Murat was sent to Beskaragai orphanage. In 1939 Murat having finished 7 classes entered Semipalatinsk pedagogical technical school, having finished he was sent as a teacher to Naualy village of Urzhar district. In 1942 he went to the front, was an officer, got a contusion and in 1947 returned from the war as a lieutenant. After the war he worked as a teacher in the school named after Voroshilov in Murat village of Zhanasemey district, from 1962-1984 in Semey city. Since 1990 he lived in Almaty. Murat has 7 children: 5 boys and 2 girls. All of them grew up and became graduated specialists, among them: doctors, teachers, lawyers, one of them is a researcher working in a scientific institute.
Turganbayev Otan Mananovich was born on 1 January 1934. When he was 3 years old his father was arrested and since then he never saw him again. In 1945 his mum died and he was taken by close relatives for upbringing. In 1952 he finished 8 classes and entered Karaganda industrial technical school, after graduation he worked as a foreman in the state farm Shcherbakty of Dzhezkazgan region, then as a master of industrial training in the school №13 in Novosibirsk. In 1959 he entered Karaganda Polytechnic Institute, after graduation he was sent to the city of Pavlodar. He worked as a chief of the shop of large-panel house building, KSZHB-3 ( Prefabricated Reinforced Concrete Plant). as a senior engineer, as a senior engineer of the trust “Semkolkhozstroy”( Semipalatinsk Collective economic construction). From 1988 to 1992 he worked in Karaganda city as a PMK(mobile mechanized column) and housing and communal services in Oktyabrsky district. Otan has two children.
Turganbayeva Gulbakhram Mannankyzy was born in 1936. Gulbakhram’s father died when she was 1 year old and her mother died when she was 8 years old. After the anniversary of her father’s death they moved to Novosibirsk to her father’s relatives. After the war the elder brother Murat finds his brother and sister and takes Otan with him to Semipalatinsk, and in 1951 Otan brings Gulbahram to Semey and defines her in Novopokrovsky orphanage, there she finishes 6th class, 7th-8th class studies in boarding school, 9th-10th classes in Karaganda. In 1963 she graduated from Karaganda Medical Institute, worked as a doctor in the hospital. Gulbahram is a doctor by profession, she has four children and 7 grandchildren. All children have higher education.
