Алаш Орда

Nurmukhameduly Kazy is a leader of the Alash movement, one of the founders of the Alash regiment. Nurmukhameduly Kazy was born in 1896 in the Semipalatinsk district, Enrekeisk parish. After a two-year school, he worked as a teacher for several years in his native village. In 1915 Kazy entered the teachers’ Seminary in Semey. As a student he participated in the Alash movement in 1917. In winter, 1918 Nurmukhameduly was appointed as a head of the government of the Alash regiment. During the combat training of mounted police soldiers in Alash on March 6, 1918, the commander of Alash police Kazy Nurmukhameduly was shot killed by the person from the red army. On March 7, 1918 a memorial service was held. With mournful speech at the meeting were: Shakarim Kudaiberdiyev, Raimzhan Marsekov, Zhangali Kazhy, Mustakhim Maldybayev, Mirzhakyp Dulatov read poems dedicated to the deceased. A classmate and colleague Zhusipbek Aimautov delivered a memorial speech, and Sabit Donentayev devoted him the poem “To the first Alash’s victim”.
