  1. In his letter to Professor Abu Saktaganovich Takenov, Daulet Mukhamedzhanovich provides the following information about himself: “Dear Professor Takenov, Hello! My name is Daulet, and I am the son of Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev. I took my last name (Sheikhali) in accordance with my father’s wishes. When he was arrested, he informed my mother. My mother, Sheikhali Amina Ibragimovna, is a Kumyk by nationality, and her family originates from Dagestan. After my father’s arrest in 1937, my mother and I lived with an aunt in Ufa. I finished school, then found work at the Oil Institute, where I defended my PhD dissertation. I was unable to complete my doctoral dissertation due to my lengthy military service outside of Bashkortostan.

Over 70 scientific works have been published on the topic of my dissertation. My doctoral dissertation is devoted to the dynamics of oil properties depending on the time of field production. If I say that I headed a research department at a research institute and hold the honorary title of “Honored Scientist and Engineer of the Republic of Bashkortostan,” you probably won’t consider it bragging.

My son, Askar, is a metallurgist and a PhD candidate in physics and mathematics, and my daughter, Adelya, is a doctor. My wife is a music school teacher and is currently retired.

Since I’m not entirely sure that my letter will reach you at the address I provided, I’ll conclude here. I am looking forward to  your reply.

With respect and best wishes, Daulet Sheikhali (Tynyshpayev)… May 30, 1995.”
