Aniyar’s father, Kozhabay, was a master of making wooden knotted instruments. Kozhabay died in 1858, and his children Sundetbay, Umbetbay, Aniyar were raised by his father’s younger brother, Moldabay.

The great Abai paid much attention to Aniyar’s upbringing.

Abai and his children helped Aniyar buy the house of the Semipalatinsk merchant Moskvin. Kakytay, Shakerim, Magauiya, Akylbay, Turagul often visited this house. It is known that Mukhtar Auezov lived in an apartment in this house.

During the terrible famine and political revolution, Aniyar left his old home to his son Sapargali. Aniyar went to the city of Andijan and during his service married the daughter of an Uzbek. In 1890, his son Sapargali was born. In 1910, Sapargali married the daughter of Kakitai Kabid. They lived together for 38 years, raised a daughter Kulyash and a son Mukhamedgali. Kulyash died in 1953.

Aniyar’s younger brother was Sundetbay. His sons were Kalaubek and Silambek. Silambek had three sons – Samat, Sagintay, Maksut and a daughter Nurzhamal. Aniyar took  Nurzhamal as a child and adopted her. Silambek’s son, Samat Sundetbayev received a good education and advanced in his career. He became a famous diplomat, a representative of the diplomatic corps of the Soviet Union, and the second secretary of the embassy in the Yemen Arab Republic. Maksut, who was raised by Aniyar, later returned to Karaul and owned a store and a workshop. He was the only person  who was well versed in technology in the village. The Aniyarov family, Maksut’s children, have preserved the name of their ancestors and continue their good deeds from generation to generation.

Aniyar gave  Nurzhamal in marriage  Zhumatai. Zhumatai was the grandson of the famous pilgrim Akberdi from Usatay. The children of Zhumatai and Nurzhamal were Tiles, Aidar, Jamila, Madina, Aidos, Daniyar, Gulmira, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren left an immortal legacy to their descendants.

This was the life of Aniyar Kozhabayuly Moldabaev, one of the active participants in the national liberation movement Alash.
