Alibekov Gubaidulla (1870-1923)
Alibekov Gubaidulla was a lawyer and was an active participant in the Alash movement. In the spring of 1917year he was elected chairman of the Kazakh Committee of the Urals oblast. He was a delegate of the All-Russian Congress of Muslims. He was a candidate for the deputies of the Constituent Assembly from the Ural region and from the Mangystau Uyezd to the first All-Kazak Congress in the city of Orenburg on July 21-28, 1917. At the second All-Kazak Congress he voted for the creation of the Alash autonomy. In the summer of 1919 he passed to the side of the Soviet government. Since March, 1920 he was a member of the Kazakh revkoma. He made a significant contribution to the establishment of KazASSR, ensuring the integrity of the territory of the Kazakh state. At the Constituent Assembly of the All-Kazakhstan Council was elected a member of the government of the Kazakh SSR. He was the first people’s commissar, then – the prosecutor of Kazakhstan. In the years 1922-1923 Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Zhampity Ural region.
